Of course, we are comparing this with A Lady with a Fan. Lisa, I think, would call this classical (or “painterly”) realism in contrast to the Aleksandrov, which she would classify as “photo realism”. That being so, Lisa, which of the two do you prefer, and why? Should we allow WJR to add his two cents worth? Hmm…
As a historical aside, this lady is of the same family as Prince Feliks Yusupov, one of the murderers of Rasputin in 1916.
