This is another piece from the Marfa-Mariinskoye Obitel in Moscow, which is being restored to its precise pre-Revolutionary state. It should be noted that many contemporary Russian artists do┬ánot follow “Byzantine” canons in art precisely either, so, one can see this is a legitimate strain in church-art development.
