A painting I saw on Bill Jones’ site got the old creative juices flowing. Hmm… a girl in blue outdoors… could I find something like that? Indeed, I could; in fact, I found TWO! By the same artist, of the same girl! Now, mind you, both of these paintings are of Nesterov’s daughter, Natalia Mikhailovna Nesterova (properly speaking, Natasha’s a diminutive; it’s never a formal given name). What do you think of these two, Bill?

Dentistry (Vasili Meshkov, 1891)

Here’s dentistry, the old-fashioned way! Take a good stiff slug of vodka beforehand and another good swallow after the yanking… and you’ll be fine! Aren’t you glad that we have progressed a bit beyond this? YOUCH!
