St Sergei of Radonezh Blessing Grand Prince St Dmitri Donskoi

This is one of the famous outdoor reliefs rescued after the dynamiting of the original Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow in 1931. It shows the blessing of Grand Prince St Dmitri Donskoi by St Sergei of Radonezh before the Battle of the Kulikovo Field.

A Pussy Cat (Irina Barkovksaya, 1999)

Now… for something entirely different! No, John Cleese is not going to jump out of a box, or anything of that sort. Rather, let’s look at some art pottery. This composition is glazed earthenware, and it has pride of first place because my Nicky has a pet name for me. He calls me his “kitty”. Therefore, I think that this somewhat quizzical piece fits who I am!
