There are many new churches throughout Russia… some dedicated to new saints, some to the old standbys. So, here’s a representative selection. Pray for the beleaguered Orthodox believers of Carpatho-Russia as the Uniates and Galician nationalists persecute them. Pray for their leader, Fr Dmitri Sidor, who has been beaten by the CIA-trained goons of Yushchenko.

It’s the largest single church in Orthodoxy… it’s the Mother Church of all Russian Orthodox Christians… blown up in 1931, replaced by a swimming pool, it was rebuilt in the 90s. A fitting ending to this montage, no?
